This page explains what we collect when you register interest in Not The Couch, what we do with it, and how to get it changed or deleted. Not The Couch Limited is a New Zealand company, and we follow the Privacy Act 2020.
What we collect
When you fill in the form on this site, we collect:
- your name and work email
- your company or workspace name
- the city or town you're based in
- your team size (employers) or number of locations (workspaces)
- whether you're an employer or run a workspace
If you apply to list a workspace, we also collect your business details (legal name, NZBN, GST number), contact details, details about your premises, your answers to our operator declaration, and any photos or insurance documents you upload.
We don't use tracking cookies or advertising trackers on this site.
Why we collect it
To contact you about Not The Couch: to talk about a pilot for your team, to assess and set up your workspace listing, or to tell you when we launch. We won't sell your information or pass it to anyone to market to you.
Where it's stored
Form submissions are stored by our website host, Netlify, and in the business tools we use to manage enquiries, such as email and spreadsheets. Some of these providers store data outside New Zealand, including in the United States. We only use providers we expect to protect your information to a standard comparable to New Zealand law.
How long we keep it
We keep your details while we're in touch about Not The Couch. If we stop being in contact, we delete them within 12 months. You can ask us to delete them sooner at any time.
Seeing, correcting or deleting your information
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted. Email hello@notthecouch.nz and we'll respond within 20 working days, usually much faster.
